This little baby was one of my first newborn photo sessions and I can’t believe that he is already over 3 months old! These cheeks are so adorable – and his mommy picked out the perfect winter cap. Enjoy your peek at this cutie pie….more coming soon, Mommy!

The winter months are typically very difficult for the outdoor portrait photographer. This winter has been especially cold and even SNOWY here in Virginia Beach and it has taken me by surprise! So, I have been experimenting with branching out in my home studio lately. Because the space is small, I have not taken anyone other than newborns and babies previously. So, a maternity shoot was in order and I knew just the person. This baby may arrive before I have all the proofs ready – and I know that Baby “C”’s mommy probably wouldn’t be sad about that. I remember being 38 weeks pregnant all too well! I hope these sneak peeks bring a bit of joy to the next few weeks of waiting, K!

I am so excited to announce my Spring/Easter Mini Session date for 2010!
While the Minis are nothing like the full-blown Kimberlin Gray Photography custom experience, they are a great opportunity to get a tiny taste of what it’s all about. Perhaps you’re a friend of a client and you’ve been curious to check out custom photography. Maybe you’ve recently had a session with KGP, aren’t quite ready for another full custom session, but would love to capture your little ones in their Easter finery. (Oh, and Psst —- Dads! A mini session is also a perfect Mother’s Day gift!) Whatever the case, here’s the perfect opportunity to get a few lovely spring images of your children all spiffed up!
Space is extremely limited with these – only one date at this point, so please email me soon to get yourself on the schedule.

The fine print:
*Full fee is due at the time of booking. Sessions are first-come, first-serve and times will be be reserved only with payment.
*Families with more than 3 will need to schedule two concurrent mini sessions (add $35 fee) and may be outdoor portraits only.
*Sessions subject to date changes due to inclement weather.
*5% VA sales tax will be added to session fee and additional orders.

Please note, if you’re wanting the experience of a full custom session, whether in my home studio or a location of your choosing, I am now booking for April and filling up quickly. I want to be able to accommodate all of my fantastic clients, so please book early rather than later – especially for those special milestones like birthdays!

I love to capture the personality of the children I photograph – and I don’t know anyone with more personality than my own child. She’s turning 4 next month and constantly makes us laugh. She’s such a neat kid, but I rarely get her to stop and look at the camera. I finally found a way – when I asked her to make faces at the camera last week.
The result? Hysterical!

It is such an honor to be present at the birth of a child – and I’ve had that honor twice in the past few months. The beautiful photographs chronicle both the time leading up to a baby’s entrance to the world and the precious first moments after.
