Emma {Sneak Peek} | Virginia Beach Newborn Photographer
Posted on October 6, 2010
Today I did battle. With an 11 day old sweetheart named Emma. I wanted her to sleep….and she wanted to nurse. And nurse…and nurse. After four hours (with a 30 minute break to get some “awake” pictures), I lost the battle.
Now, let me tell you a bit about Miss Bright-Eyed-Bushy-Tailed. I think she’s advanced for her age. Probably a genius.
She’s incredibly strong for 11 days – already holding her head high and looking all around to see what’s happening. I also think that she’s hit her two week growth spurt a few days early, thus the attachment to mommy’s breast, need to nurse for four hours straight, difficulty getting her to sleep today.
Luckily, I managed to snap a few which I hope will be treasured by this family and help them to remember this fleeting newborn stage. Enjoy!

I love how wide awake she is in the first one! So precious! Canvas material, for sure!
Love her big beautiful eyes & how she is in her daddy’s arms. Cute.
These are simply amazing newborn shots! Love the wide eyes!!!
The one with her in daddy’s arms is fabulous! Second one, she must have slept for 2.5 seconds.
You did a fabulous job, these are so precious!
so alert! beautiful work amanda!
Baby Emma is my granddaughter! I love the pictures you were able to take, and plan to “try again” at 3 months. A frustrating day for Mom & Dad!
