Logan is my first “Milestones” baby graduate!  Later this week, we’ll have his 1st birthday cake smash and I’ll share a montage of his first year sessions with Kimberlin Gray Photography, so check back in to see how much he’s grown!

For now, enjoy a few of this cutie from his beach session!  I got this idea from another photographer and just had to try it out!

I have been looking forward to meeting this baby since his gorgeous momma’s maternity session back in August!  Since this was a ’surprise’ baby, I was waiting on pins and needles to hear if I’d be photographing a girl or boy.  And BOY is he cute!  :)

Enjoy your peek at Wyatt!

Finally, some PINK!  I’ve been holding on to a lot of pink blankets, headbands, and girly props this summer…just waiting for the girls that I knew had to be coming.  :D   This pretty little princess did not disappoint.  Her beautiful head of hair was a dream to photograph and I had so much fun trying out my girly stuff!  Enjoy!

After a few rain delays, I finally met with the winner of my Tag to Win contest on Facebook.  This little boy must be one of the smiliest (is that a word? :D ) babies I’ve ever photographed!  He just hammed it up the whole time we were at the park for our mini-session!

This beautiful momma-to-be and I met a couple years ago when I joined a Bunko group.  If you don’t know what that is, it’s kind of like a poker night for women. :)   It involves a dice game, lots of chatting, and sometimes wine!  Anyway, I was thrilled when she announced that she and her husband were expecting and even more excited for them when they decided NOT to find out what gender this baby is!  It is one of the few surprises left in life – and I loved not knowing the gender of my first baby!

However, I admit that I was a bit disappointed when she booked only a newborn session with me, stating something to the effect of  “I’m not cute like those other pregnant ladies you’ve photographed.” Yes, I had to set her straight. EVERY pregnant woman feels a little……how shall I put this delicately…..huge. Ahem.  Sorry, but it’s the truth.  I’ve been there twice.  I know.  But what you don’t realize is that the old saying that pregnant women “glow” really is a fact!  And every pregnant woman is beautiful, no matter how big or small their belly is or what the scale says and my goal is to show them just that.

So, after a bit of coercion persuading by myself and some friends, she agreed to allow me to capture her baby bump.  And I’m so happy she did!  Isn’t she gorgeous?!

One of my favorite things to do is really capture the “feeling” of being pregnant.  I remember looking down at my belly and thinking, “WOW!  When did it get that big?  And can it get any BIGGER?”  So when I came across this idea, I knew I had to try it out.
