Here’s a bit of belated sneak peek for this cutie pie’s family.  I snuck in a session literally on my way out of town for a weekend away, so they have patiently been waiting a few days to see just what we captured!

And toward the end of the session, we used a beautiful antique bread bowl that they showed me when I walked in the door and I couldn’t wait to stick Jack in!  Jack, however, was not so thrilled, as you can see from the expression on his face in this last one! :)

This 1st birthday boy shares his special day with my daughter, St. Patty’s Day!  He came decked out in his perfectly green outfit and was more than happy to smile and flirt with me from the very first minute!  In fact, we had trouble getting him to stay more than 6 inches from me – or was it my big, black camera that he was enamored with?  Either way, he was a happy little guy until we gave him the cake! Ha!

Here’s where he decided this wasn’t any fun anymore.  (Note the tongue!)

And here’s where he decided that maybe if he turned around and sat ON the cake, we wouldn’t make him taste any more.  :)

After I gave him a spoon, he was much more interested in diggin’ in…but still not going to actually EAT that stuff!

But who can resist this FACE???

What is a Mini-Sesssion anyway? A mini-session is basically a scaled down version of a custom photo session with Kimberlin Gray Photography.   It includes a 20 minute portrait session and 5 Gift Prints from the 5-10 fully edited images.   Special a la carte items are also offered at a discounted rate only for these mini-sessions a few times a year!

What do I need to do? Mini-sessions are booked first come, first serve and will only be reserved online with payment made via PayPal.  You must visit http://kimberlingray.bookmonline.com/schedules/springminis to see available session times and book your spot!  Don’t delay – these will go FAST!  I’m only offering 4 family sessions (evening times) and 4 baby sessions (afternoon times).  {Baby sessions are for single babies or less than 3 siblings – my home studio isn’t big enough for full families!}  When you have booked and paid for your session, please fill out the Mini-Session Portrait Agreement.  Then, you’re all set and I’ll see you on April 16th!

What is the “catch”? The only catch is that these are limited sessions which go fast!  They are pre-paid and the fee is non-refundable. If you have to cancel for any reason, the fee is transferred to a regular portrait session to be held within 6 months.  RAIN DATE:  In the event of inclement weather, the same schedule will apply the following Saturday, April 23rd.

Hope to see you in April!!

I always come to family sessions with a few tricks up my sleeve – especially when the family includes four children from baby to pre-teen!  But the beautiful children you are about to see are the most polite and well-behaved bunch I think I’ve encountered yet and I didn’t even have to use my bag ‘o tricks!!

I have to give a special thank you to this family as well.  Their youngest daughter’s birth was the very first birth I photographed.  You can see it here on my “old” blog!  At that time, I had no birth photography portfolio to show them, so they were going out on a limb to trust me with such an intimate moment in their lives.  What a privilege it was!  And now I’ve gotten the opportunity to capture their whole family. Thank you, again, for trusting me with your precious family memories!

Four kids and still GORGEOUS!!

Hope you enjoyed your peek!

I have not one, but THREE examples of  What to Wear for your next family portrait session!  The goal is to coordinate without matching exactly.  The days of everyone wearing black shirts and khaki’s are gone – let’s be more creative and natural!  Wouldn’t your family look beautiful in one of these color palettes??
