Beautiful people make beautiful babies – and I am fortunate enough to get to photograph them! I think this is now one of my absolute favorite newborn and parent photos. Aren’t they stunning?
Of course, I did take photos of the baby by himself, too! He liked to sleep with his eyes cracked half open and when I mentioned that to his daddy, he told me, “So do I!” Like father, like son! Only the beginning, I’m sure.

I have been so excited to share these photos – this is my winning couple from the Love Story Contest! They have endured much (read their story here) and are a beautiful couple! Doesn’t hurt that we had beautiful evening light, and lots of laughter! What more can a girl ask for?!
I must admit to being out of my comfort zone with couples…I respect engagement and wedding photographers even more now that I’ve done a few of these “love” sessions! It is not easy to pose a couple – there are so many things to keep in mind. The height difference between them, the location, getting the lighting effect right (sunflare? backlighting?) and then just getting them comfortable and looking at ease and not stiff and posed. Phew! I think I’ll stick with sleepy newborns!!
But seriously, this couple is too gorgeous for words – and I hope I captured their love on camera!
The sunflare in this photo makes me swoon:
And the hotness of this one is swoon worthy, too!!!

This dark-haired beauty came to the studio this weekend for her 3 month photo session and was just a doll! We were even able to go outside for a bit. She wasn’t too thrilled with the sunshine and wind, but I am looking forward to spring for sure. Here is a sneak peek of our session:
Normally, I don’t post crying baby photos – and honestly, I rarely proof these to families. But during our session, it was specifically requested to capture this cutie pie’s “pout”. And what a pout it is!!!

This little guy came to me just a week after he was born. Typically, that means that sleep comes easy, but this little guy was bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and ready to play! He is a total doll baby, though and after we snapped some ‘awake’ pictures, I managed to lull him to sleep for a little bit of time to capture his itty-bittyness! (Is that a word?)
