Remember this favorite photo of 2010? Well, this munchkin is all grown up now and we had so much fun smashing cake on the beach with him! Okay, so not ALL grown up – he is still an adorable baby boy…but he definitely wouldn’t fit on that elephant anymore! 
Here’s the storyboard I designed to show his growth from newborn to 3 months to 6 months and then 1 year. Oh, and I added my favorite cake smash image from his surf-theme cake smash on the beach!

This family came all the way from Richmond for their beach portraits – and I had so much fun with their baby boy! He has the most beautiful, clear eyes that reflected the light just perfectly! What a beautiful little family! I hope to see him back for his 1st birthday – maybe to smash some cake?!?

It has been far too long since I last updated the blog. I have been using Facebook to post sneak peeks, but am going to try my hardest to catch up over the next couple weeks. Up first, this cute little guy who was So Serious during our session. But I got some smiles!!!

Newborn photographers know that when a mommy gets too close to her baby during the photo session, he often smells her (and she smells like MILK to him!) and then he roots and wakes and our sweet photo session turns into a tug-of-war with the tummy! So, when my friend, Trisha, a talented photographer, texted me last week saying that she had been trying to get newborn photos of her own new baby boy every day for five days in a row to no avail, I wasn’t entirely surprised. Ha ha! Truly, though, it is HARD to soothe & pose your own baby and I told her that I’d be happy to come over, get him to sleep and pose him so that she could snap the pictures. It wasn’t *that* easy, though. This big boy wanted to eat all.the.time – that’s why he’s a big boy! :) But we eventually won the war and she allowed me to snap a few photos of this adorable boy! I <3 him!!!
