I was so excited when one of my clients-turned-friend approached me with the idea of photographing the Sunliners Wives’ Club in their flight suit dresses! They wanted to send some beautiful photos to their husbands who are serving our country overseas. And these ladies did not disappoint – every single one of them was dressed to the nines and very natural models! I could have posted at least three favorites of each one here…it was crazy hard to choose! Enjoy a peek into the gorgeous wives of these heroic pilots. Godspeed, Sunliners and thanks to not only them, but their wives and children for their sacrifices.

I have been so lucky to capture Miss Sidney since she was just a newborn baby! She returned for the last of her Milestones sessions and the smiles were contagious!

This session was totally inspired by other photographers. I have been itching to find the ‘perfect’ field for some backlit, beautiful evening lit maternity images. While driving in the Pungo area, I spotted it and immediately had to try it out. I put out a call on my Facebook page for a model who was 30-36 weeks and would be willing to trudge outside with me (which since it’s January, is not always easy to find!). Luckily, we live in Virginia where it isn’t too terribly cold – at least this year – and this lovely young lady was the first to answer my call! I appreciate her willingness to sit, stand, and pose in a random field with me and I hope you enjoy the results as much as I do! I hope one of my future clients sees these and wants to go back there because I’d love to do this again!!

This little stinker wanted to stay awake for his newborn session! Unfortunately, we do not allow that (ha ha!). So even though he gave me these big, almost chuckling grins, I eventually wore him out enough to get some traditional newborn poses. And his big brother was too adorable with him! Introducing….Noah, my first 2012 newborn!

Two beautiful couples were squeezed in during the last week of 2011 – between all the family festivities and chaos of the holidays, of course! Here’s a peek at the images we captured:
