This birthday boy is so dear to me – his mommy and I were due at the same time last year and our blond-haired, blue-eyed boys are bound to be good friends! Recently, he was unexpectedly diagnosed with Juvenile (Type 1) Diabetes and it was a very scary time for his family and friends. We are so thankful for the fantastic folks at CHKD who took such amazing care of him and we’re so happy to be celebrating his 1st birthday. Everyone close to them is praying for a cure to be found SOON. Meanwhile, enjoy the sneak peek of this very special birthday boy! Isn’t he the cutest?

….if they want, that is! This little diva was none too impressed with her cake smash session. It started with this (some of you saw this on Facebook – if you haven’t already, please fan me!):
We managed to get her a bit interested in the cake – it was so pretty, and so was she:
Until she got it in her hair…and all over her toes.
And then it was all over….but the crying. Literally.
Don’t worry, mom. I did get some sweet shots before she got completely red-rimmed eyes – ha ha! Who would have thought that cake could be so traumatizing?? I do have plenty of non-crying pictures for your gallery, which will be up in about 2 weeks!

It’s this beach baby’s 1st birthday and I was so excited when I saw that not only had I captured him walking, but his excited expression that says, “LOOK AT ME!” These are the precious moments that pass so quickly and I love being able to preserve them for families to remember forever.
I think I have a “thing” for baby toes. Ha ha!
It was a VERY sunny evening at the beach, as you can tell from these photos. But, our beachcomber took to the sand like it was his home – a bit more than we even wanted when he decided to eat fist fulls of sand!!! Hope you love your preview, guys – more to come in your gallery soon!

This family is one of the Contest Winners from my 2010 Launch of the new blogsite! We had to re-schedule a few times because of the crazy winter weather we’ve had recently, but finally found a sunny morning and met downtown for our urban-inspired session. It was so hard for me to choose just a few for the preview…but the first one, especially, just warms my heart:
These two little ones had such gorgeous eyes – one blue-eyes and one brown (just like my own two kiddos!) and I had so much fun with them.
