She’s got a big name, but a sweet little personality!  This is the second time I’ve photographed her family – they chose my Belly to Baby Package and her mommy looked so beautiful in her fall beach maternity portraits.

When I arrived at their home yesterday, I immediately spied this piece of furniture and the bowl resting on top.  Her mommy had asked if I could use a piece of pottery they had from Mississippi and I was so excited to learn that this bowl was the one she was referring to!

Meet sweet baby Camille.  I photographed her while she was still in her mommy’s tummy a few months ago (Remember her?  She was the one who waded in the water for some fun maternity photos!) I had so much fun playing with all the pretty little girl things  – her mommy loves hats, headbands, and flowers so I was in girly-girl heaven!

I’ve been experimenting with my new Macro lens for close ups of itty bitty baby parts.  These LIPS are my favorite so far!

Got a little smile out of this princess, too!

Usually, this is a What to Wear Wednesday – but since today is Tuesday, we’ll just call it What to Wear for your Fall Mini-Session.  :D   Some of you have told me that you are not planning a “traditional” holiday portrait this year (which is great – way to stand out from the crowd!) so this month’s What to Wear Guide has a fall theme and follows all my “rules”:

1.  Choose at least three colors to use in your family’s palette – no matchy-matchy, but coordination is a must.

2.  Think in layers – especially for fun, funky backdrops!

3.  Use ACCESSORIES to give dimension to the portrait. (Scarves, jewelry, boots, hats, etc.)

Miss Daylin is one tough customer!  Her parents warned me that she likes things just so…and if they aren’t just so, there is no turning back.  So, we started her 3 month session with coos and smiles – I thought, “Hey, this isn’t so bad!”  But after two position changes, poor Daylin decided that she’d had enough.  And she didn’t hesitate to let us know it!  Now, Daddy knows exactly how to soothe her – swing her back and forth in her carseat.  But, that doesn’t make for a very pretty picture! :D

I did capture this gorgeous smile – which makes it all worthwhile!!!

And we even managed to get one with her big brother!

There’s nothing better for a photographer than a repeat client.  And in a very short period of time, this little guy is becoming one of my stars!  I first photographed him when he was still hanging out in his mommy’s tummy and then had the privilege of welcoming him into the world, quite literally, during his birth.  I also captured those ten tiny fingers and ten teeny toes at his newborn session and was thrilled when his mommy and daddy chose to invest in my Milestones Package!

He’s now 3 months old and even though he didn’t want to smile for me during our time together in my studio, those CHEEKS are just too adorable!  Can’t wait to see how much he grows in the next few months…and I guarantee he’ll be grinning up a storm the next time we meet!
