Want a peek Behind the Scenes??

Many of our clients think it’s MAGIC when we create these premium digital images for them! And I can’t lie….sometimes I agree with them. I haven’t shared very much about the “behind the scenes” of how these types of images are created, but today I’m going to let you in on a little secret!

These beautiful pictures you see of a baby snuggled up in a basket with a bunch of flowers all around them?? PSSSSST! Here’s the secret: they aren’t actually in a basket surrounded by flowers or snuggled up on a moon. Chances are it’s the magic of photoshop!

You see, those babies aren’t really *in* any of those baskets!! It’s all an illusion, carefully crafted in my “digital darkroom”!! Here’s a couple of examples:

This beautiful background just needed a bit of tweaking and the addition of a sweet baby girl to create something really beautiful and unique – and we changed the colors just slightly in order to make it mommy’s favorite color – Teal!

This next one needed a bit more to make it fit properly. I first flipped the image and then changed the color of the little outfit from brown to blue to blend better with the theme.

And now, the little astronaut snoozes his way through space!

I absolutely love creating these images for our families – they bring a bit of whimsy and fun to nursery walls and everyone just adores them! My goal is for no one to be able to tell that they baby isn’t really in that basket, sitting on that shelf, or hanging on that moon. When people say “Oh, I thought that you really had all those flowers in your studio!” it makes me so happy. I don’t find joy in tricking people….well, maybe I do just a bit in this case. 🙂
