What is a Fresh48 Session?  

Fresh48 sessions are a new option for families in the Hampton Roads area who are not interested in full birth photography, but would like to chronicle the very brand new baby they bring into the world.  Fresh48 sessions are held in the first 48 hours after the baby is born (hence, the name 🙂 ) at the place of birth.  These are lifestyle sessions, not posed newborn sessions like in our studio.  Instead, I come to the hospital, or your home if you’ve had a home birth, and capture those first moments of becoming a family or adding a new wee one to your family. These sessions are perfect for siblings meeting the new baby for the first time, grandparents or other family members getting their first glimpse at the new little one, mommy/baby breastfeeding and bonding or herbal baths. They are also wonderful for babies who have to spend a little extra time in the NICU!  Here are a few examples of images that you can expect from a Fresh48 session.
