The Birth of John Patrick | Norfolk, Virginia Beach Birth Photographer

What a beautiful Good Friday it was when we welcomed John Patrick into the world!  His mommy had prepared for a medication and intervention-free birth, but little John Patrick decided to stubbornly hold out a full two weeks past his estimated due date.  So, she headed to the hospital for a 'light' induction - with the amazing midwives at the Midwifery Center at DePaul who are wonderful at putting the wishes and needs of their patients first. She was also fortunate to have Amara Minnis as her doula for support throughout her labor and delivery.

I arrived to find mom-to-be in active labor and knew we would have a baby soon - but I didn't know just how soon that would be.  It was a little less than 2 hours after I arrived that this healthy baby boy was born in the water with his mommy and daddy right there to catch him.  Congratulations, Cindy & Dan!  Enjoy this peek into your birth experience!

I'd love to share them all, but this is supposed to be a 'sneak peek'!  :)  It was so sweet when big brother arrived to meet the newest addition to the family!  So, I must share one more.
