Capturing the Magic of Childhood

If you loved the 2015 Artistry series, you are not going to want to miss this year's sessions!  Our artistry series is a unique and special way to capture your child(ren).  We have a different themed photo session each month of the year - our goal is to create an experience like no other!  Each theme has special props, wardrobe or elements added in post production that illustrate the essence of childhood and help you to always remember the little details.  Please click HERE to see all the themes from last year!

NOW is the time to sign up for the Artistry Portrait Club.  We only offer the portrait club at two times during the year - and joining the club offers you the chance for more images for less money!  Open enrollment starts now for the March-July sessions and then re-opens in July for the August-December sessions!  If you don't sign up for the club during open enrollment, you have to book each session individually. Here are the descriptions of the first set of Artistry sessions of 2016:

March:  B is for Baking - Join us in a brightly lit kitchen to cook up some cuteness!  Because of the unpredictability of VA weather in the late winter/early fall, we are planning this indoor shoot to keep things fresh. Your little one(s) will don a special apron and chef hat, dig into the flour and have a ball while we capture the adorable way they work in the kitchen. This can be a mommy & me shoot or just for the kids!  Custom designed aprons will be available from Carousel & Co. for those interested!

April: Splish Splash - April showers bring May flowers...so we are heading out to splash in puddles and play in the rain.  If it isn't raining, we will create the atmosphere!  Bring your favorite rain boots for sure and we will have some adorable umbrellas to use to keep dry!  Your child(ren) will absolutely love this high-energy session!

May:  Fairy Fantasy - An enchanted world of garden fairies can only be found through us! We will have some beautiful dresses and even crystal wings for your little fairy to flit, fly, and forever remember when she was able to be just like Tink!

June: Teddy Bear Picnic - Bring your special stuffed friends along to this picnic for a sweet and memorable picnic in the park.  Not only will we have a cute-as-a-button tent set up, but this is a great way to remember your little one(s) favorite stuffed friends as they get older!

**BONUS for Portrait Club Members ONLY**  Camping Out - a "Father's Day" special, we will 'camp out' with Daddy or Grandpa (or if you are a single mom or a two-mom family, you are welcome instead of a male presence!), roast marshmallows and catch fireflies!  A not-to-be-missed event!!

July:  Sandcastles in the Sun - Our famous beach sessions are always a favorite!  This time, we will be building sandcastles, digging and even maybe knocking down some sandy towers together! The beach is a beautiful summer backdrop for timeless childhood portraits!

Two Ways to Book!

You can choose to book an individual Artistry Session any month which includes 5 digital portraits or purchase a membership to our Artistry Portrait Club and come to them all! Becoming a member of the portrait club has major perks – not only do you get to come to any (or all!) of the monthly Artistry Sessions with a different theme/set for each one, but you’ll receive 10 digital portraits from each PLUS a bonus Artistry Session that will only be available to Portrait Club members and special secret perks!

The Fine Print: 
*All Artistry Sessions will be held on a weekend - dates will be announced about a month in advance.
*Because of the elaborate sets and props, these are not able to be individually scheduled and there are no reschedules except in the case of inclement weather.  You will get at least one extra session as a club member, so if you are unable to make one, that can serve as the make up session.
*We suggest no more than 3 children during any individual Artistry Session. When siblings are photographed together, individual portraits are not guaranteed. Just let our photographer know if your priority is siblings together or individuals of children. We can't always do both )depending on ages and cooperation of the subjects)!
*Sessions are best suited for children 12 months and up - but we can make accommodations for babies during most sessions.
*Artistry Portrait Club fee automatically charged to your credit card each month (must commit to a five month period)

***You can only join the Portrait Club two times during the year - Open Enrollment for the first time in Feb-Mar (for sessions February through July) and the second time in June-July (for sessions held July through Dec).
