10 Years of Family Photos

It’s hard to believe, but it has been 10 years since I began taking photos of families and babies here in Hampton Roads! The very first family that I photographed was my doula, Amara, and her husband and four children. I joke that it was “trial by fire” because her family had children in all of the different age groups - a baby, a toddler, a grade schooler and a preteen!!!

Over the years, it has been a true privilege that her family has continued to choose to come back to me - year after year, season after season. Here is just one from each of the past 10 years - it was fun to go back and look at not only how much these kids have grown, but how my style and skill has evolved as well!

The eldest daughter couldn’t come home from college this year….
