Military Deployments & Homecomings

For 4 years,  Amanda was a member of Operation: Love ReUnited. It is a wonderful organization and I photographed dozens of free sessions and homecomings for our deployed military members and their families. However, because of an increasingly busy Birth Photography schedule, and the difficulty of childcare, we have made the decision to give free Homecomings only to our clients and charge a fee for others who inquire. Please know that we did not make this decision lightly, and always wish to honor our military families in the area!

Pre-deployment Sessions are for families who are getting ready to say goodbye for at least a 6 month deployment. At least part of this session must have the service member in uniform. Family sessions before deployment are discounted 20%.

Already Gone Sessions are portrait sessions of spouse and children while the service member is deployed. We do these generally about halfway through the deployment. Family sessions are discounted 20% and a small album of images is sent directly to the service member.  

Homecoming Sessions are for the day your spouse returns, whether that is on the pier, in the hangar, or at the airport.  We meet you at the place of homecoming about 30 minutes before they are scheduled to arrive and photograph the family waiting and then the moment of homecoming plus a few family portraits afterward if you desire.  Our fee is $500 to lock in the homecoming date (we understand that it can change multiple times), the images as digital downloads and the slideshow set to licensed music!
